Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD degree programme in Haptics and Human-Computer Interaction
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Master degree in Computer Science, Human–computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Physiology, Biomechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer and Electrical Engineering or related fields.
  • Knowledge or skills related to at least one of the topics of the project, including, haptics human-computer interaction, haptic interaction design, haptics in virtual reality, social touch, tactile perception, user experience, sensing technology, or related topics.
  • Strong programming skills
  • Proficiency in English, both in speaking and writing.

Offered Benefits

The University of Copenhagen will offer a starting salary is currently at a minimum DKK 331,125 (approx. €43,750) including annual supplement (+ pension at a minimum DKK 53,811). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.

  • How to Apply: To be considered for the fellowship, all interested candidates are required to take admission in a PhD degree at the University of Copenhagen. After getting enrolled, applicants must complete and submit the online application form.
  • Supporting Documents: Candidates must submit all the following documents:
  • Motivated letter of application (max. one page) including references
  • CV incl. education, experience, language skills and other skills relevant for the position
  • Master of Science diploma (or equivalent) and transcript of records. If the MSc degree has not been completed at the time of application, a written statement from your institution/supervisor assessing your academic level and expected graduation date, as well as a certified/signed copy of the most recent transcript of records, will be acceptable.
  •  Publication list (if relevant)
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants will be selected based on previous publications (if any) and relevant work experience.
  • Language Requirement: If English is not your first language, you should provide evidence of English language ability: IELTS, TOEFL, or other acceptable proof.
