The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to invite applications for the Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship to Foreign Students Tenable in Brunei Darussalam (BDGS) for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The Scholarship provides applicants with the opportunity to pursue studies at the Diploma, Undergraduate Degree and Postgraduate Master's Degree level at the following institutions of higher education in Brunei:
- Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD)
- Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA)
- Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB)
- Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB)
- Politeknik Brunei (PB)
Founded in 2007, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Gadong (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Brunei-Muara. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Negara Brunei Darussalam (Ministry of Education, Brunei Darussalam), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) is a very small (uniRank enrollment range: 1,000-1,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
