he Wayne Wouters Scholarship is a distinguished award established to honor the legacy of The Honourable Wayne G. Wouters, a University of Saskatchewan alumnus and former Clerk of the Privy Council of Canada. This scholarship is designed to support graduate students pursuing a Master of Public Policy (MPP) or Master of Public Administration (MPA) at the University of Regina's Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy

University of Saskatchewan Wayne Wouters Scholarship 2025 for Master Founded in 1907, University of Saskatchewan is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Saskatoon (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Saskatchewan. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Advanced Education, Saskatchewan, University of Saskatchewan (uSask) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Saskatchewan (uSask) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 112 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 80-90% making this Canadian higher education organization a least selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pursing a MPP or MPA program in the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy.
  • Minimum grade point average of 80%.
  • Registered and remains registered in a minimum of 6 credit units in the semester the scholarship is presented.
  • Demonstrate proactively engaging in philanthropic endeavors and/or community service.

Offered Benefits

One scholarship valued at $1,600 will be presented annually.

Application Process

Students must submit the following documents to the Graduate Student Advisor, Amy Hassett

  • one letter of support (please ask your professor to send directly to the Graduate Student Advisor);
  • a 500 word essay on how they are involved in philanthropic endeavors or community service.
