University of Regina Henry Baker Scholarships 2025 Established in 1911, University of Regina is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Regina (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Saskatchewan. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Advanced Education, Saskatchewan, University of Regina (U of R) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Regina (U of R) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 108 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 80-90% making this Canadian higher education organization a least selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Registered as a full-time master's or doctoral student at the University of Regina in the Fall semester
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 80%
  • Thesis or graduate studies (course-based students) relates to a community issue

  • An application form (available from the City of Regina website)
  • Transcripts (official or unofficial)
  • Attach a two page summary of:
    • your community involvement, volunteerism and personal or family life experiences;
    • your academic and career objectives;
    • why financial support would be helpful to you;
    • graduate students must also describe how their thesis or graduate studies (for course-based students) relates to a community issue.
  • Submission Format: Attachments must be typed and should be no more than two pages
  • Reference letters are not required and will not be considered
  • FULL INFORMATION MUST BE INCLUDED IN YOUR APPLICATION IN ORDER TO BE REVIEWED
