Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: China
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Students pursuing greatness across all professions and industries are welcome to apply.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Applicants must be permitted to study in the U.S. or Canada, as applicable legally:
  • For study in the USA: The applicant has a valid visa that permits study in the U.S. or is a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder).
  • For study in Canada: The applicant has a valid Canadian study permit.

Offered Benefits

Scholarships are awarded annually to international students, and DACA students enrolled at schools MPOWER supports. Awards are as the following:

  • US$5,000 Grand Prize (x1)
  • US$1,500 Runner-Up (x1)
  • US$500 Honorable Mention (x2)

Application Process

  • How to Apply: All eligible students must complete the application form and submit the essay.
  • Supporting Documents: Write an essay answer to the following question in 200-500 words: how your cultural background informs your educational journey and/or professional goals, and describe how your graduate degree will help you make an impact in your field.
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must have their visa stamped in their passport by the closing date of the competition.
  • Language Requirement: English language skills are required to study in the USA and Canada.
