GREAT Scholarships for Chinese Students at Solent University in UK, 2020

With the collaboration of the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Solent University is delighted to offer its GREAT Scholarships for the academic session 2020/2021. The funding programme is available for Chinese students.

The grants support students by offering an award of £10,000 to pursue postgraduate degree programmes in the UK.

GREAT Scholarships for Chinese Students at Solent University in UK, 2020 Established in 2004, Solent University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Southampton (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), South East England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Solent University (Solent) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Solent University (Solent) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. This 15 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this UK higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: China
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Postgraduate taught a course in any subject area offered by the university.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Must have completed an undergraduate degree with very good grades in China.
  • Have received and accepted a conditional or unconditional offer for a master’s degree.
  • Have submitted a GREAT Scholarship request with your course application.

 Solent University is offering two scholarships of £10,000 each to Chinese students for postgraduate courses in the United Kingdom for the session 2020/2021.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: In order to apply for the opportunity s, students will be considered for a GREAT Scholarship at the time of submitting an online application for a master’s degree for the September 2020 entry. For more information on the GREAT Scholarships, please visit the British Council China.
  • Supporting Documents: Candidates must submit a CV, academic certificates, and transcripts with your application.
  • Admission Requirements: For taking admission, applicants must check the entry requirements of the program.
  • Language Requirement: Students from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language requirements in order to be able to study at the university.
