The Lagos State Scholarship Board is the State Government’s organ established in February 1968. Its primary motif is to support the wellbeing of indigenous students in higher education.
The portal for registration for the Lagos State Scholarship 2025 has been opened on Monday, 14th April 2025.
Established in 1968, the Lagos State Scholarship Board is the State Government’s agency responsible for the welfare and financial support of indigenous students of Lagos State.
The Board recently provided a sum of ?375m for Lagos State students in 2024, as approved by the State Governor.
Ultimately, the Lagos State Scholarship Board has a mandate to ensure that no Lagos State indigene in any tertiary institution is deprived of the opportunity to attain his/her educational dream due to non-availability of funds.

The following rates were fixed as the amount payable to each approved beneficiary, depending on the category of his/her award:
- Technical Colleges N100,000
- Poly/Colleges of Education N200,000
- First Degree N200,000
- Masters Degree N300,000
- Doctorate Degree N400,000
