The McCall MacBain Scholarship brings together a diverse group of scholars who aspire to lead with purpose individuals who have demonstrated leadership potential and an inner drive to make a positive impact in other people’s lives.

The McCall MacBain Scholarship is a full graduate scholarship that provides students with the mentorship, interdisciplinary learning, and global community they need to accelerate their impact on the world. The McCall MacBain Scholar invites students all over the world to pursue a fully funded master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill University.

McGill University 2025 McCall MacBain Scholarship for International Students for Bachelor Founded in 1821, McGill University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Montréal (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Quebec. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Ste. Anne de Bellevue. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur, Québec (Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Quebec), McGill University is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. McGill University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. This 198 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for our 2026 cohort, you will need to meet ONE of the following criteria:

  • You are a current student on track to earn your first bachelor’s degree by August 2026
  • You earned your first bachelor’s degree in the last five years (January 2020 or later)
  • You earned your first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago, and were 30 years or younger on January 1st, 2025

You will also need to meet the  minimum degree and language requirements for McGill master’s program admission.

Offered Benefits

  • Tuition and fees for the full normal duration of the master’s or professional program
  • A living stipend of $2,300 per month during academic terms
  • A one-time relocation grant for moving to Montréal
  • Beginner to advanced French language courses offered through McGill

Scholars not pursuing an academic term during the summer may apply for up to $5,000 to pursue meaningful summer initiatives.
