Kathleen McIver was a long time educator on PEI whose father James Ready and brother Joseph Ready were both graduates of Saint Dunstan’s University. Ms. McIver was an innovator in the field of education and saw that one could receive an education in many forms.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for this scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- Candidates must be entering second year or beyond in a post secondary institution.
- Candidates must be a descendent of a family member who attended SDU
- Candidates must be a member of either St. Paul’s Parish, Summerside or Holy Family Parish, Kensington.
- Candidates must be actively involved in church/parish
- Candidates must be attending UPEI or Holland College unless program of study is not offered at those institutions.
- Successful candidates may not hold other grants, scholarships, or bursaries totalling in excess of $5,000.00
Offered Benefits
The Kathleen McIver Memorial Award has a value of $500 and is administered by the Board of Governors of Saint Dunstan’s University.
