Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for an Anglia Ruskin sports scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a firm acceptance, or conditional offer for an Anglia Ruskin University undergraduate degree course
  • Need to show evidence of competing at national level, or evidence of having previously achieved national ranking and/or have the potential to (re)achieve this standard
  • Complete the application form outlining your sporting interests and achievements
  • On acceptance of the award be prepared to sign a contract agreeing to represent Anglia Ruskin University in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitions and to promote the work of Anglia Ruskin University, locally, regionally and nationally.

Offered Benefits

We offer students competing at regional, national or international level, the opportunity to apply for a scholarship award worth up to £1,000 a year for three years. Each award is tailored towards the needs of the athlete, and is delivered as a package of support that’ll add value to existing training programmes to help achieve both academic and sporting success.
