The fund has been established by Mrs Gillian Wells to assist medical students facing financial difficulties.

Applicants must be undertaking an undergraduateMBBS degree programme - you can be Home, EU or International fee status, and this can be your first or second degree.

Eligible courses are:

A101 Extended Medical Degree ProgrammeA100 MedicineA102 Medicine Graduate/Professional Entry ProgrammeA104 Medicine Maxfax Entry Programme

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply, you must:

be a current, undergraduate, full-time student;have taken up your full entitlement to student loans for fees and living costs;have a household income of £42,620 or less (international and EU students)be in receipt of a maintenance grant.(Home first degree students) or a means tested NHS Bursary

** Please be advised that the Student Funding Office is no longer able to accept hard copies of supporting evidence, and can only proceed with an assessment once scanned or electronic documents have been submitted.

Facilities for scanning documents can be found on every campus, including in the basement level of the James Clerk Maxwell Building. Scanning apps can also be obtained for most smart phones.

Please ensure that all documents are clearly named to prevent delays to the processing of your application. **
