The Part Time Fee Grant, which is managed by the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) provides help each year towards the cost of tuition fees for eligible part time undergraduate students.

The money is paid directly to the University.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for support you need to meet all the SAAS eligibility criteria on income, course and residence. For courses starting on or after 1 August 2013 you must have an individual income of £25,000 a year or less.

You must be studying on an eligible Higher Education course or Continuing Professional Development at levels 7 – 10 of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and you must be doing between 30 and 119 SCQF credits in each year of your course. You must also satisfy the SAAS residence criteria.

Offered Benefits

The level of tuition fee SAAS can pay depends on the number of credits you take and the qualification you are studying for.

For a degree level course the maximum SAAS will pay is £1805 per year.
