Scholarships for encouraging talented students to follow a two years master´s program Water technology at Wageningen University, University of Twente or University of Groningen.

Wetsus has formed a scholarship program to stimulate talented students to enter into the master Water technology. With regard to the funding of students, Wetsus will award scholarships to anticipate in expenses for tuition fee, accommodation or/and basic living expenses. These scholarship are paid by companies, associated with Wetsus as participants.

Wetsus Water Technology Scholarship Program for Master Founded in 1614, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (University of Groningen) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Groningen (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap, Nederland (Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Netherlands), Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (RUG) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (RUG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 405 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Approved admission to the program;
  • Students originating from and currently living in a new European member state or a candidate country*, Spain, Portugal or Greece are encouraged to apply;
  • Also talented students with a GPA of 80% or higher are encouraged to apply;
  • Working experience is not a prerequisite;
  • Applicants are preferable under the age of 30.

* Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey and Croatia)

Offered Benefits

A Water technology scholarship comprises a maximum of 10.000 euros per student per year;
