  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Lecturer or Associate Professor in theoretical astrophysics position at the faculty of Engineering & Physical sciences at the University of Leeds.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • You will have an excellent research record and international standing in your research field, the ability to collaborate effectively, evidence of obtaining external research funding and a passion for delivering first-class inspirational teaching and supervision within a research-intensive university.
  • A track record of research outputs related to theoretical studies of star or planet formation in refereed publications of internationally excellent quality;
  • The potential for obtaining resources to support research in the future;
  • An ability to contribute to and develop interdisciplinary collaborative research projects in a broad range of areas;
  • Experience of teaching in a University environment, with an enthusiastic approach to teaching and the ability to interact with a diverse range of students in ways that will enhance the student experience;
  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills and a strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with students, academic and external audiences;
  • An ability to listen actively, discuss and understand the needs of others and propose innovative solutions to address those requirements;
  • Contributing to management and administrative processes and structures, including managing resources or staff.

Offered Benefits

The University of Leeds will provide the selected candidates with a full-time annual salary of up to £42,149 to £60,022 p.a. in the UK.
