GCU Women in STEM Scholarships for Egypt Students in UK for Master


Glasgow Caledonian University is excited to announce the Women in STEM Scholarships. Applications for the scholarship programme for the academic year 2022-2023 are now accepted.

Exclusively offered to women from Egypt to study MSc Big Data Technology or MSc Environmental Management in the UK at GCU by the British Council Women, the scholarship covers a stipend and travel costs. All eligible applicants will be considered for the grant.

GCU Women in STEM Scholarships for Egypt Students in UK for Master Founded in 1993, Glasgow Caledonian University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Glasgow (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Scotland. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 26 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applicants from Egypt can apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: MSc Big Data Technologies or MSc Environmental Management programmes can be applied at GCU.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be women from Egypt interested in studying in either of the eligible MSc programme at GCU.

Offered Benefits

Winning candidates will be awarded total tuition fees and a stipend of £13,392 and travel costs to study a master’s programme at GCU.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Candidates that wish to apply for the scholarship must first make an admission application for an eligible programme via the university portal. Students will then receive an invitation to apply for this scholarship.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Statement of purpose
  • Letter of reference
  • Academic and professional certificates
  • Academic transcripts
  • Passport
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must have a UK honors degree 2:2 (or equivalent) in computing with software development, for example, computing, computer science, software engineering, web technologies, and computer engineering or a UK honors degree 2:2 (or equivalent) in any science or engineering-related degree including environmental studies, engineering, planning, geology, geography, zoology.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 6.0
