Liverpool John Moores University GREAT Scholarships for International Students from Kenya and Turkey for Master Established in 1992, Liverpool John Moores University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Liverpool (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), North West England. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Kenya and Turkey
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for the one-year master’s program (MSc Climate Change and Sustainability) at the Faculty of Science
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Applicants must have an offer of study and have firmly accepted their place before they are eligible to apply for scholarship funding,
  • Applicants must not have already studied a postgraduate taught degree,
  • Applicants must have the funds to cover the remaining living costs, travel and any other costs associated with studying at the University,
  • Applicants must be classed as overseas students for fee purposes.
  • All international qualifications are subject to a qualification equivalency check via NARIC.
  • Applicants will need to:
  • demonstrate sufficient knowledge to embark on the program
  • display the potential to develop high-level research skills
  • demonstrate the ability and commitment to work at the postgraduate level

Liverpool John Moores University will provide £10,000 towards tuition fees for one-year master’s programs to students from Kenya and Turkey in the 2023-24 academic year.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: To apply for the GREAT Scholarship, applicants can submit their application using the  Great Scholarship 2023 application form.
  • Before starting a scholarship application, applicants are required to apply for the MSc Climate Change and Sustainability course to study at Liverpool John Moores University.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants should complete the form thoroughly and provide a detailed personal statement which reflects their suitability and aptitude for the program.
  • Applicants require to submit documents such as transcripts, English certificates, and a passport copy etc. with their online application.
  • Admission Requirements: The minimum qualification for entry is a high 2.2 (Hons) degree in geography, environmental science, engineering or other numerate physical science fields. Professional experience will be considered on its individual merit in relation to the proposed program; and publications, written reports, CPD activities and other suitable evidence of accomplishment will be taken into account.
