The Moffat Charitable Trust, in collaboration with the Moffat Centre for Travel and Tourism, is pleased to announce the Moffat Scholarship Program. For over 20 years, the Trust has been dedicated to supporting students at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) pursuing studies in Travel, Tourism, or Events programs. With over £1 million in scholarships awarded, this initiative aims to empower outstanding individuals seeking to excel in these fields.

Moffat Scholarships at Glasgow Caledonian University in UK for Course Founded in 1993, Glasgow Caledonian University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Glasgow (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Scotland. Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 26 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Any subject offered by Glasgow Caledonian University within Travel, Tourism, or Events programs
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
    1. Have a conditional or unconditional offer for a GCU Travel, Tourism, or Events related program, OR be a current student in one of these programs at GCU.
    2. Demonstrate academic ability, motivation to pursue a career in the tourism industry, and economic need.

Offered Benefits

  • Financial support towards tuition fees, awarded in instalments over the academic year.
  • Awards of up to £3,600 which will be paid over two instalments over the academic year for Undergraduate students
  • Awards of up to £2,500 which will be paid over three instalments over the academic year for Postgraduate students
