Duties

  • Participate in many aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)
  • Cooperate with monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
  • From time to time be able to illustrate tricky financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects
  • Assist in annual budgeting process
  • Partake in the planning of monthly financial reporting and other business data
  • Cooperate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
  • Review confirmed results at the corporate and division levels
  • Prepare creative alternatives and propositions to reduce costs and help financial performance of a company
  • Federate and analyze budgets and income statement forecasts
  • Explore and query an immense amounts of data
  • Assist in ensuring adequate controls and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Less than one year of experience accepted
  • Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
  • navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience desired
  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
  • Strong communication and social skills
  • Candidate must have substantial computer experience including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized
